A collection of images shot in Aqaba and Petra, Jordan.
Jordan is located in the Middle East, bordered by Israel, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, and the Red Sea. We visited in December and based ourselves in the city of Aqaba, a coastal hub with an international airport and easy access to the rest of the country.
While most of our time was spent enjoying Aqaba, we took a day trip to Petra, the world-famous archaeological site about two hours away. Although it was more crowded and touristy than Aqaba, walking through the ancient rock-carved city was an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting in winter, keep in mind that Petra is much colder than the warm, seaside climate of Aqaba — layers are a must!
All of these images were taken over 5 days using my Sony camera. You can check out a complete list of my current street photography gear here.
